How it works
The idea — “design your own color”
This isn’t a single recording — it’s a live 10-band mixer. Each vertical slider controls one slice of the sound, from deep rumble on the left to airy hiss on the right. Raise and lower them to sculpt any noise “color”: flat white, natural pink, deep brown, or something entirely your own. Two independently recorded takes per band are cross-faded continuously, so there’s never an audible loop.
Playing & the level meter
Press the round Play button (or Space / P) to start and stop. While playing it shows a small live meter; the bars track loudness and turn warm/red if the built-in limiter is catching peaks — a hint to pull levels down a touch.
Shaping the sound
Sliders — drag, scroll the wheel over one, or focus it and use the arrow keys.
Reset (R) returns to a neutral mix. Raise / Lower all (K / J) nudge every band together — press and hold for a fine, continuous change.
Presets & your own presets
Colors shape the overall tilt — White (W, bright), Grey (perceptually flat), Pink (N, natural), Brown (B, deep), plus Infra and Ultra for the extremes. Frequency focus isolates a single band (60 Hz … 8 kHz) — handy for finding what each region sounds like or masking a specific noise. Special: Speech Blocker masks nearby conversation, Ear Massage is a soothing rounded curve (nice with Animation), plus Random (?) and Zero (Z).
My presets: type a name (e.g. Sleep, Study, Work) and press Save mix to store the current sliders, stereo width and animation on this device. Click a saved preset to recall it; the small × removes it.
Export / Import: download all your presets and settings to a file, then import it after reinstalling or on another device.
Animation
Turn Animation on (A) to let the sliders drift slowly on their own for a more organic, non-repetitive texture. Speed (S) sets how fast they move; Mode (D) sets how many bands move at once — Soft and Hard vary all bands, while Solo/Duo/Trio/Quad move just one to four.
Sleep timer & interval bell
Sleep timer (T) fades the sound out and stops after the chosen number of minutes — set it and drift off. Interval bell (L) rings a soft bell every N minutes, handy for meditation or Pomodoro-style study breaks. Enter a number or use the quick buttons.
Stereo width
Mono sends the same sound to both ears. Normal is the original stereo image — best on headphones. Wide spreads it further apart, which usually sounds better on speakers. Narrow sits in between.
Saving, sharing & offline
Your current mix is saved on this device automatically and comes back next time. Copy share link puts a link on your clipboard that reproduces your exact mix for anyone who opens it. This app is installable — use your browser’s “Install” / “Add to Home Screen” — and works fully offline after the first load.
